Rings dated to the 17th and 19th centuries were discovered during the landscaping of Armenian Alley in Moscow, the city's mayor's website reported on Thursday.
Valuable items will be sent to the Foundation of Archaeological Finds. As noted in the message, besides the rings, fragments of glass and ceramic dishes were found.
Special attention of experts was attracted to men's rings made of white metal and copper alloy. They contain relief images with heraldic symbols and plant motifs. Some of them have inserts made of glass and gray agate, said Alexey Yemelyanov, head of the Moscow Department of Cultural Heritage.
It should be noted that yesterday, archaeologists discovered painted ceramics dated to the 6th century BC. in the area adjacent to the construction site of the railway section of Crimean bridge.
