In early hours of June 14, a number of participants of pickets against the bill on the demolition of five-story buildings in Moscow, a so-called renovation program, have been detained by police near the building of State Duma, a Russian Parliament.

Among the detained protesters, there was Chairman of the Moscow branch of Yabloko opposition party, Sergei Mitrokhin, who was also holding a poster at the site, OVD-info reports on Wednesday.

A total of 10 people have been detained by the police, including two women.

On 14 June, State Duma holds the third reading of the renovation bill. As on the day of the second reading, activists rallied near the Parliament’s building to protest against its adoption.
